Registered Nurse (RN) for the 2 Palmetto Progressive Care Unit. The unit sees a variety of patient diagnoses such as: COPD/Pulmonary Diseases, Heart Failure, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Renal Failure, conditions related to withdrawal (alcohol and/or other substances). Patients with tracheostomies requiring mechanical ventilation, continuous BIPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, hypothermia regulation, and titratable IV drips. The unit values Shared Governance through the Unit Practice Council, encourages Clinical Ladder Advancement and Progressive Certification, and fosters a culture of teamwork, commitment, integrity, and caring.
Job Responsibility:
Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
