Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for a fully remote HEDIS project supporting a Fortune 500 healthcare organization. This is a short-term opportunity for experienced HEDIS nurses looking to make an immediate impact, with the potential to expand into additional project work. This role will focus primarily on Chart Chase and medical record retrieval through April, including heavy phone and fax outreach to provider offices. After April, selected candidates may transition into abstraction review and AI validation work as the project evolves.

Job Responsibility:

  • Request and retrieve medical records from provider offices
  • Support Chart Chase activities and track record status
  • Verify and review medical record data for HEDIS/STAR measures
  • Navigate multiple documentation systems to locate required information
  • Identify data gaps and documentation opportunities
  • Support quality improvement and data integrity efforts
  • Communicate with internal teams and provider offices

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate degree or higher
  • 2+ years of HEDIS/STAR experience
  • Chart Chase and medical record retrieval experience
  • 3+ years of experience in quality review, data analysis, or chart review
  • Strong phone, written, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

  • Experience with Medicare measures such as: TRC - Transitions of Care
  • COA - Care for Older Adults
  • CBP - Controlling High Blood Pressure
  • EED - Eye Exam for Patients with Diabetes
  • GDM - Glycemic Status Assessment for Patients with Diabetes
  • DBP - Diabetes Blood Pressure Control
  • COL - Colorectal Cancer Screening
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Process improvement or training experience
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
