Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool. Scheduled Hours - 7pm to 7am. Float to Med Surge Tele and Emergency Room. Full time. Every Third Weekend. Rotating Holidays. Level 2 Trauma. Competitive Benefit Package.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Good communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with patient care equipment
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Current CPR
  • Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
  • Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.)
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing
  • Ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment
  • Ability to respond quickly to patient needs
  • Ability to assist in evacuation of patients
  • Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch
  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation
