Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool. Scheduled Hours - 7pm to 7am. Float to Med Surge Tele and Emergency Room. Full time. Every Third Weekend. Rotating Holidays. Level 2 Trauma. Competitive Benefit Package.

Job Responsibility

Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Good communication skills
Good computer skills
Good time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with patient care equipment
Current Illinois RN license
Current CPR
Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.)
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing
Ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment
Ability to respond quickly to patient needs
Ability to assist in evacuation of patients
Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force
Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch
Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation
