The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans and maintaining medical records. He or she will also be required to administer nursing care and medication to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
Job Responsibility:
Communicating professionally with patients, families, and staff
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitoring patient conditions and documenting care accurately
Ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant care environment
Supporting emotional, psychological, and spiritual patient needs
Leading and supervising healthcare personnel as needed
Maintaining professional standards and continuing education
Coordinating with other healthcare providers and contributing to team efforts
Upholding confidentiality and infection control protocols
Managing equipment and medical supplies
Providing both routine and emergency care, including pre- and post-operative care
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
A minimum of five (5) CXC passes at General Proficiency, including English Language and Mathematics
Excellent and empathetic bedside manner
BLS/ACLS skills
Administration of medication
Infection and disease control
Health promotion and maintenance
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
