While end of life care is a core part of what we do, many of our children and young people attend Derian House for many years before this, and that time is used to provide fun, comfort and lasting memories for the whole family. Our team is small, skilled and deeply committed, and you’ll play a vital part in delivering exceptional care both in our hospice in Chorley and in the wider community. As our service grows and our 3–5 year plan takes shape we’re creating new opportunities for nurses who want to develop and thrive. We are investing in rotational roles that work across our in‑hospice and community services, giving you the chance to build breadth of experience in a genuinely varied role. We invest in our people, offering access to an in‑house clinical education team, a dedicated clinical skills lab, and ongoing professional development tailored to your aspirations. We also welcome applications from nurses with non‑traditional routes into practice, including those with learning disability qualifications and those from non‑paediatric backgrounds who have the right transferable experience.
