Job Description

At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.

Job Responsibility

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients nearing the end of life
Promote dignity, comfort and choice
Support the emotional and physical well-being of patients, families and carers
Contribute to mentoring and developing junior staff and students
Ensure a positive and professional environment

Requirements

NMC Registration
Strong knowledge of infection control and evidence-based practice
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
Confidence in contributing to audits, team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Mentorship skills to support students and new colleagues
