Registered Nurse

• Provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises nursing assistants
• Planning and overseeing daily nursing activities
• Administering medications
• Completing required documentation
• Maintaining patient confidentiality
• Performing professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care
• Fostering a warm and collaborative environment
• Coordinating with physicians
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement
• Appropriately communicate with clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change
• Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Competent in organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
