Job Description:

A part-time, ongoing role for a Registered Nurse in a new 32-bed multidisciplinary unit (Ward 7A) at the New Footscray Hospital, specializing in Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Renal Medicines, Nephrology and Endocrinology. The role offers opportunities to learn, collaborate, and deliver high-quality, complex care, supported by expert educators.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality, complex care
  • Enhance specialised skills like Non-Invasive Ventilation, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Chronic Wound Management
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • 3 years working experience
  • Experience within at least one of the medical specialty areas of the ward (Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Renal Medicines, Nephrology and Endocrinology)
  • Demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to high quality care and to maintaining a culture of patient centred care
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess excellent clinical skills
  • Commitment to participate in a 7-day rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong command of electronic medical records (EMR) and computer skills
