Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required with a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Iowa or from a Compact State
Experience in Telemetry or Progressive Care nursing
Progressive Care RN Certification
Dysrhythmia course completed within 6 months of hire or pass written dysrhythmia competency within 90 days of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS)
Recent RN experience

Job Responsibility

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards
Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, documenting changes accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Perform advanced nursing procedures such as IV infusion, ventilator management, catheterization, and acute pain management
Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards for patient care
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
