Job Description

Atrium Health Digestive Health Gastroenterology and Hepatology offers exceptional comprehensive and advanced Gastroenterological care for adults of all ages. Our multidisciplinary team provides access to an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) clinic, procedures such as colonoscopies, endoscopies, advanced motility testing, ERCP, EUS, etc., as well as alternative and supportive treatments such as acupuncture, GI psychology, and nutrition counseling to ensure holistic patient care.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversees daily workflows for two clinical teams
  • Supports 3 APPs, 4 physicians, and 6 clinical teammates
  • Ensures seamless coordination and compliance with standards
  • Provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
  • Uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication
  • Leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program

Nice to have

Prior leadership and ambulatory care experience preferred
