  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures, ensuring strict adherence to infection prevention and control standards
  • Scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and surgical team
  • Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are available, checked, and functioning prior to procedures
  • Monitor and maintain patient safety at all times within the perioperative environment
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including anaesthetists, ODPs, and circulating staff
  • Support the smooth and efficient running of theatre lists, ensuring minimal delays and effective turnaround times
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with clinical governance
  • Actively contribute to a positive and professional team environment
  • Participate in on-call rotas (one weekday per week, one weekend per month), including evenings and weekend when required
