Job Description:

Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU at Aurora Medical Center Summit. Provide care for infants at 32 weeks of gestation or later weighing 1500g or more who have physiologic immaturity or who are moderately ill with problems that are expected to resolve rapidly and are not anticipated to need subspecialty services on an urgent basis. Provide mechanical ventilation for brief duration (less than 24 hours) or continuous positive airway pressure or both.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
