Job Description

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse at Baptist Endocrinology South on Old St. Augustine Road in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day-shift opportunity Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is phone triage. This Primary Care office is conveniently located on the corner of I-95 and Old St. Augustine Road on the Baptist South campus. They will support 8 providers and this is a busy, fast-paced office. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and comfortable not interacting with patients face to face.

Job Responsibility

  • Triage telephone calls
  • Interpret symptoms and communicating plan of care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans
  • Manage prior authorizations for medications
  • Coordinate workflow pertaining to clinical questions
  • Room/triage patients for providers
  • Reviewing the clinical messages that come through the portal and responding to them
  • Using strong communication and documentation skills

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
  • Clinical Experience Preferred
