Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN day shift position. The PICU at Wolfson Children’s has achieved gold-level status by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. This means excellence in quality and safety, outstanding outcomes, parent satisfaction and a healthy environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing patient care to pediatric population utilizing all aspects of the nursing process
  • Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and families in developing and individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serve as the patient advocate and responsible for providing care for critical patients that require a higher acuity of care
  • Uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
