As a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool at Boston Children’s Hospital, bring your expertise to help meet the ever-changing nursing care needs across the enterprise. Working across all inpatient settings, each shift brings opportunities to work with new colleagues, further develop and learn new skills. Orientation is approximately 12 weeks with both Float Pool and Unit-Based preceptors.
Job Responsibility:
Providing competent nursing care to patients (newborn – adult) and their families across all inpatient settings including the surgical, medical, oncology, bone marrow transplant, intermediate care, neuroscience, Behavioral Health Emergency Department, and Inpatient Psychiatry units
Potential for cross training in additional areas including Cardiology, various procedural units, and the Vascular Access Team
Delivering family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care
Working in a fast paced, collaborative environment with many opportunities for learning and career growth with comprehensive orientation to meet individual needs
Opportunities to be involved in hospital wide committees and to precept new staff and nursing students
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in nursing
A minimum of 1-year inpatient acute care RN experience required with a wide range of diagnoses preferred
Pediatrics RN experience preferred
Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations, every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required
Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Nice to have:
Pediatrics RN experience preferred

$10,000 sign-on bonus for 36 hour per week hires (pro-rated for less than 36 hours) for RNs with a minimum of 1 year of pediatrics inpatient RN experience
