Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This PRN, Variable shift opportunity. Located in the rapidly growing communities of southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties, Baptist South combines resort-like amenities with advanced medical care, supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

Job Responsibility:

Practice within a professional nursing framework that promotes evidence-based care, shared governance, and advocacy
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions
Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, timely, and compassionate care aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and individualized care
Coordinate care with ancillary and support services to promote efficiency and continuity
Participate in unit-based meetings, quality initiatives, and professional development activities, supporting a culture of excellence

Requirements:

Associate's Degree - Nursing
1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
Telemetry Experience
Emergency Services Experience
Hospital Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice to have:

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN)
Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Conscious Sedation Certification
