Job Responsibility:
Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced, trauma-capable pediatric emergency department
Perform clinical assessments, nursing interventions, and critical thinking to care for infants, children, and adolescents
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professionals in managing a wide range of emergencies - from mild illnesses to life-threatening trauma
Participate in research, teaching, and quality improvement efforts to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
1 year of experience
Current California RN License
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (within 3 months of hire)
ACLS (within one year of hire)
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
3 years of experience
Professional nursing certification
Pediatric nursing experience in a comparable, high-acuity department
Bilingual English/Spanish
