This travel assignment is for a Registered Nurse specializing in unit care in a high-acuity medical-surgical setting, primarily focused on respiratory conditions such as COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, and acute respiratory failure. The role includes managing ventilators like CPAP and BiPAP, interpreting dysrhythmias, and participating in a team-oriented environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio that often reaches 1:4 or 1:5. You'll be working 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity for block scheduling and a typical weekly commitment of around 36 hours. Precise attention to ventilator management and telemetry monitoring is essential. The unit is supported by specialized teams, including respiratory therapists and a vascular access team, and requires passing EKG testing prior to orientation. This position offers a chance to develop your expertise in a fast-paced, challenging environment with a diverse patient population, including COVID-19 cases. Please note that RTO (Right to Return) after booking is not permitted, and additional call-offs could impact your assignment status.
