Job Description:

We are looking for Registered Nurses (RN) with Operating Room Experience to join our Neuro OR at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL. The Neuro Operating Room has 5 OR Suites, 2 IR Suites, and was built with state-of-the-art technology including intraoperative CT and MRI. This is a Full-time, Days opportunity. This role requires call with a 40-minute response time and qualifies for competitive call and differential pay. The surgical teams perform Neurosurgery cases as well as Neuroendovascular cases.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Organize and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordinate of care provided by ancillary services
  • Include patients and significant others (SO)/ families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Educate of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) Preferred
