Job Description:

Registered Nurse position in the Mother Baby Unit, a 40 bed unit providing newborn, antepartum and postpartum care. The role involves caring for patients with an emphasis on safe, compassionate, and family centered care, ranging from low risk to high risk patients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and family centered care to newborn, antepartum and postpartum adolescent and adult women

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of direct patient care and critical care procedures and techniques
  • Skill in communicating in a clear and concise manner
  • Skill in reading 12-lead EKG
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules
  • Ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions

Nice to have:

  • Specialty certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing
  • Two (2) years of Mother Baby experience
