The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members and educate patients and the public about various health conditions. Additionally, they will be responsible for delivering babies and providing antenatal and postnatal advice, care and support to women, their babies, their partners and families.
Job Responsibility:
Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
Record and report patients' medical information and vital signs
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
Provide pre and post operative care
Examine and monitor pregnant women
Monitor the foetus during labour
Take patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
A Minimum of five (5) CXC passes at General Proficiency, including English and Mathematics
Computer proficiency
BLS/ACLS Certified
Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery
Infection control skills
Medication administration skills
Good bedside manner
Excellent listening, written, interpersonal, multi-tasking and verbal skills
