Job Description

The Med-Surg 3 Cardiac Unit at Aurora BayCare Medical Center (ABMC) is a 16-bed unit specializing in the care of cardiac, telemetry, pulmonary, and bariatric surgical patients. RNs on the unit are ACLS certified, proficient in telemetry interpretation, and trained in cardiac drip administration and monitoring.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Telemetry and ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • ACLS certified
  • Proficient in telemetry interpretation
  • Trained in cardiac drip administration and monitoring
