Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time night shift position in our high-risk, Level III, Labor and Delivery unit at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process
  • Organize and supervision care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Include patients and families in developing and individualized plan of care
  • Serve as the patient advocate and responsible for nursing care for high-risk obstetrical patients including outpatient services and additional surgical procedures
  • Uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Less than 1 year Newborn Nursery Experience
  • Less than 1 year Mother/Baby Nursing Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Registered Nurse Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (RNC EFM) Preferred
