Department Summary: The Neuroscience floor is a 31-bed Medical/Surgical Unit with patients ranging in age from newborn up. Patients are from the following primary services: Epilepsy, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro Oncology. Patients originate from the PACU, MICU, NICU, direct admits and through the Emergency Room. Our Neuroscience teams work within the concept of family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex. It is an exciting place to learn and grow professionally as we strive to provide exceptional care through evidence-based practices and innovations throughout all our programs.
Job Responsibility:
Caring for patients with diagnoses that can include seizures, demyelinating disorders, encephalitis, hydrocephalus, brain and spinal tumors
Delivering family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex
Working in a collaborative environment with opportunities for learning and career growth
Working 36 hours per week (12hr shifts), day/night rotation, every other weekend (permanent night available if interested)

Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute care RN experience
Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
