As an Inpatient Float RN, you’ll bring your expertise to a range of departments and be a vital part of our care team, responding to dynamic needs and ensuring continuity of care wherever you're needed most.
Job Responsibility:
Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate effectiveness
Anticipate and recognize significant changes in the patient’s condition and take appropriate actions
Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety
Assess patient and family readiness to learn and individualize the approach
Actively coordinate the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach
Apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care
Provide ongoing evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes
Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills
Promote collaboration among healthcare team members
Assume a leadership role in the care team and delegate appropriately
Promote a culture of safety
Report patient safety events and near misses
Apply ethical decision making
Participate in quality/process improvement initiatives
Participate in professional activities for development
Requirements:
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing
Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
Inpatient RN experience preferred
Nice to have:
Inpatient RN experience preferred
