Job Description:

As an Inpatient Float RN, you’ll bring your expertise to a range of departments and be a vital part of our care team, responding to dynamic needs and ensuring continuity of care wherever you're needed most.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care
  • Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate effectiveness
  • Anticipate and recognize significant changes in the patient’s condition and take appropriate actions
  • Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety
  • Assess patient and family readiness to learn and individualize the approach
  • Actively coordinate the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach
  • Apply evidence-based practice to deliver patient care
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes
  • Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills
  • Promote collaboration among healthcare team members
  • Assume a leadership role in the care team and delegate appropriately
  • Promote a culture of safety
  • Report patient safety events and near misses
  • Apply ethical decision making
  • Participate in quality/process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in professional activities for development

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
  • Inpatient RN experience preferred
