Baptist MD Anderson is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion Therapy team at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. This is a full-time days position, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and will require travel between the MD Anderson clinics at Baptist South, Baptist Clay and Downtown as needed. After hours phone triage call rotation is required. As a Registered Nurse in our oncology infusion clinic, you’ll spend your day providing compassionate, hands-on care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other infusion therapies. You’ll monitor treatments, manage side effects, and offer education and support to patients and families, all while collaborating closely with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team. Job Responsibility:
Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
Include patients and significant others (SO), families in developing an individualized plan of care
Educate patients, SO, families to their disease process and plan of care
Serve as patient advocate and responsible for assisting the clinical staff
Provide optimum care utilizing the nursing process
Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other infusion therapies
Monitor treatments, manage side effects, and offer education and support to patients and families
Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team
Travel between the MD Anderson clinics at Baptist South, Baptist Clay and Downtown as needed
Participate in after hours phone triage call rotation
Requirements:
Associate's Degree - Nursing
Less than 1 year Advanced Dysrhythmia Experience
Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
