Baptist Health is currently hiring for an EP Registered Nurse to join our specialized Heart Rhythm Center team at our Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown) Heart Hospital location here in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a full-time, Monday through Thursday, shift opportunity from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am. No weekends, no Holidays. May require occasional late shifts. EP experience preferred. In this role, the EP RN will be part of one of the region's most comprehensive cardiovascular care teams at the area's only freestanding hospital for heart and vascular care. Baptist Heart Hospital is the centerpiece of a top-ranked heart and vascular program, home to more than 500 physicians.
Job Responsibility:
Provide care to patients during procedures
Evaluate patient readiness before the procedure and communicate any concerns to the performing Physician
Collaborate with the pre-procedure nurse to ensure patients have been prepped, educated, and are ready for their procedure
Provide continuous assessment and support during procedures such as Ablations and implantation of cardiac devices
Cross-train to fill the scrub and monitor role during electrophysiology procedures
Assist with the transport of the patient to the recovery bay with anesthesia
Provide moderate sedation during some procedures that are not covered by anesthesia
Provide hand-off communication to the receiving RN in the recovery bay and other receiving areas for post-care
Requirements:
Associate's Degree - Nursing
1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
1-2 years Telemetry Experience
Hospital Experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
