The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Summit Hospital is a Level III trauma center, with specialized orthopedic trauma care. We also provide excellent stroke, STEMI, and sepsis care, consistently exceeding benchmarks. We have a comprehensive in-house forensic nurse examiner program. These specialized nurses work closely with the ED to provide trauma informed care to all patients experiencing intentional trauma. Our patient mix includes ortho trauma, cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, substance abuse, pediatric illness, and trauma. We do not experience overflow from other nursing departments. Our mission emphasizes collaboration to promote compassionate and excellent care.
