Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This full-time, night shift opportunity offers a commitment of 36 hours per week and the chance to practice in a Magnet-recognized, patient-centered environment that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Practice within a professional nursing framework that promotes evidence-based care, shared governance, and advocacy
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergent conditions
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, timely, and compassionate care aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and individualized care
  • Coordinate care with ancillary and support services to promote efficiency and continuity
  • Participate in unit-based meetings, quality initiatives, and professional development activities, supporting a culture of excellence

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
