Job Description:

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full-time Evenings shift opportunity. Scheduled shifts 11:00am-11:00pm. This emergency center provides efficient, patient-centered care to Clay County and surrounding communities. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide care to patients with emergent conditions
  • Educate patients and families on care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams
  • Coordinate services with ancillary departments
  • Advocate for patient safety and outcomes
  • Participate in unit activities and meetings
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
  • organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
  • coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Department Experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • CEN, TNCC, NIHSS preferred
