Job Description

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time Day shift opportunity. Scheduled shift 7:00am-7:00pm. The Emergency Department at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about emergency medicine, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with emergent conditions
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction
  • Participate in unit-based initiatives and continuous quality improvement
  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care

Requirements

  • 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
  • Telemetry Experience (required)
  • Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
  • Hospital Experience (required)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, NIHSS (preferred)
