The Boston Children’s Hospital Critical Care Transport Team employs experienced registered nurses to provide safe, efficient, family-centered care to patients requiring critical care in transit. The nurse works under the direction of the team’s medical director, utilizing patient care protocols and transport policies to deliver optimal, evidence-based care in the mobile environment.
Job Responsibility:
Total clinical nursing care of stable and unstable critically ill children during transportation – both ground and air transports
Communicating coordinating care with multidisciplinary team members from sending and receiving facilities
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required
A minimum 3 years ICU or ED experience is required
Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
PALS/NRP/ACLS/EMT certification required within first year of employment and CCRN certification required within 2 years of employment
Nice to have:
EMT experience preferred
