Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Cardiac Outpatient Services (COPS) Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, day shift opportunity, M-F. No call and no holidays.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for assessing Heart Center patients, including evaluating, continuous monitoring, interpreting, communicating, and recording patient conditions
  • Coordinates with the physician's office, other RNs, the laboratory, dietary, x-ray, pharmacy, and other hospital areas
  • Perform TEEs, cardioversions, and Tilt Table tests
  • Reviewing charts with labs and current conditions of pre- and post-cath lab patients that are having heart catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, etc
  • Direct communication with various physicians regarding patient care issues and handling emergent patient situations
  • Performing initial assessment as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
