Registered Nurse - Cardiac 500

31 bed unit with 23 private and 4 semi private rooms catering to cardiac medical and surgical patients. It is a team oriented unit, involves multi-disciplinary approach in taking care of patients with a fast turnover and focuses on patient experience. All nurses are ACLS and BLS certified with telemetry competency with patient ration of 1: 4-5 both days and nights. The surgical population varies from post open heart procedures, day 1-2 out of ICU, VATS, thoracotomies and decortications, pericardectomy, pericardial windows, thymectomy (all procedures done by our cardio-thoracic surgeons). The cardiac medical patients are STEMI/NSTEMI with or without interventions, post coronary angiographies/angioplasties, device placements like ICD, pacemakers, Watchmans, mitral clips and also patients that needs medication/treatment for AFIB, CHF, arrhythmias, cardiac infections
