The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing expert nursing care of complex patients, providing leadership, and serving as a resource and consultant in areas of specialty. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Administering blood products, a wide range of IV therapy medicines, and fluids
Monitoring for side effects
Collaborating closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless and effective care for every patient
Requirements
Program Accredited nursing program (required)
Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred)
RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
Other - Other National Certification (required)
PEARS - Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization - AHA - American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required)
Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program (required)
Bilingual Skills Preferred
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Program within 12 months of hire or transfer
