Job Responsibility:
Maintain an active registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council on the part of the Register relevant to the position
Report To Head of Nursing
Supporting the business with Fast Track Package Cover as and when required
Assessing and reviewing Clients and reporting to Mobilisation Team in relation to updates required for care plan/Tasks
Support to devise, implement and evaluate care plans, risk assessments and associated care documentation, whilst maintaining a person/care centred approach
Provide clinical leadership, support, supervision and direction to the Carers/ Healthcare Workers/ staffing on complex care POC to carry out enhanced clinical care duties, to aid their competencies to be completed by Complex Care Nursing Team
Providing clinical expertise and guidance to staff in the field whilst on shift
Delivering an outstanding quality of care to clients
Communicating effectively with clients and family members
Proactive management and communication to ensure safe, responsive and effective care is provided to reduce risks
Act in accordance with NMC standards to maintain Client safety
To operate within all Alcedo Care, local and national policies, procedures, and protocols
Supporting in the safe mobilisation of POC out with the community
Provide practical & theory training in clinical areas for support staff to provide outstanding care for clients
Work collaboratively with clients, family, other professionals and interested parties to enhance the quality of care delivered and offer support to clients, managers and staff as needed
Ensuring that clients are given the right clinical support & advice
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN
Full UK driving licence
Experience of community-based work is desirable but not essential
Experienced & competent working with spinal injuries, brain injury, tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, long term ventilation, cerebral palsy, neurological conditions, cough assist, epilepsy & rescue meds, PEG and other similar complex care competencies
Prepared to travel within the local regions to between clients and branches Home
