Job Description
Registered Night Nurse position at Advinia Health Care in Langley Park, Durham. Permanent contract, hourly rate £21.00. Night shift 20:00-08:00. Requires valid NMC License with minimum 1 year nursing practice.
Job Responsibility
Ensure that all staff members contribute to the efficient running of the care home and creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of residents
General observations and support
Wound care
Lead and support your team, completing regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
Stand in for Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence
Report ill health among residents and make requests for GP/professional visits
Ensure resident Care Plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with clients, relatives, and healthcare professionals
Assess all aspects of residents' care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care
Assess social and health care needs of new residents and maintain ongoing assessment of all residents
Maintain accurate records and ensure each resident has an individualised Care Plan
Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Home Manager
Ensure clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant staff
Administer/order/store prescribed medicines and document in accordance with company procedure and NMC guidelines
Practice maximum integrity in dealings with residents' personal and financial affairs
Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team
Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations
Maintain all logbooks and records as required by the Registering Authority and company Directors
Requirements
Hold a valid NMC License with a minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
Leadership/Passion: ability to lead a team with a passion for hands on care, mentoring, coaching and motivating your care team
People Management: supportive and great at communicating, able to adapt to different personalities
Organisation/Process driven: able to prioritise time efficiently to ensure documentation is up to date
Natural team player: able to work well within teams
