Working as part of our talented and highly committed care teams, Registered Nurses are an integral part of our homes. You will work closely with the managers within the home to ensure the highest standard of person-centred resident care. The night shift is: 20:00 - 08:00
Job Responsibility:
Ensure all Staff Members contribute to the efficient running of the care home
Create an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the residents
General observations and support
Wound care
Lead and support your team
Complete regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
May stand in for the Deputy Home Manager and/or the Home Manager in their absence
Report any ill health amongst residents
Request GP/Professional visits where necessary
Ensure residents Care Plans are completed and maintained with Clients, relatives and other Health Care Professionals
Assess all aspects of residents’ care needs
Provide health supervision and direct Nursing care when required
Assess social and health care needs of new residents
Maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents
Maintain accurate records
Ensure each resident has an individualised Care Plan
Review Resident Care Plans monthly or more frequently
Carry out regular checks on Residents at intervals determined by the Home Manager
Ensure a clear and concise handover report is given at the end of each shift
Administer/Order/Store prescribed medicines and document in accordance with procedure
Practice maximum integrity in dealings with resident’s personal and financial affairs
Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives and the multidisciplinary team
Provide administrative support when required
Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations
Maintain all logbooks and records as required
Requirements:
Valid NMC License
Minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
Leadership ability
Passion for hands-on care
Ability to mentor, coach and motivate a care team
Supportive and great at communicating
Able to adapt to different personalities
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships
Able to share and demonstrate knowledge
Organisation/Process driven
