We are seeking dedicated and experienced RMNs to join our team, providing essential care and support care packages for complex children and young people across Southampton. This role is crucial for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs, learning disabilities and mental health conditions who are at risk of exclusion.
Job Responsibility
Provide consistent and compassionate support to children within residential and community settings
Assist children in managing emotional and behavioural challenges, implementing agreed care plans
Leading a team of care support workers to safeguard children with complex mental health needs
Ensure safety of young people in mental health crises
Accurate record keeping and reporting
Overseeing restraint procedures
Working with young people on DOLs
Foster a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for young people
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning discussions
Able to work autonomously and be confident in safeguarding protocols
Able to liaise with other healthcare & social care professionals and emergency services
Requirements
Demonstrated experience working specifically within Residential Children's settings
Proven experience working with children who have experienced trauma
Ideally, hold a valid UK driving licence
however, this is not essential
Flexibility to travel up to 1 hour to homes within the locality
Availability for both day and night shifts, including long days with sleep-ins
Eligible to work full-time hours in the UK without restrictions
