Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing private neurodevelopmental assessment provider operating nationwide across the UK. Launched in 2024, the organisation has rapidly established a network of assessment hubs staffed by a broad multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrists, and Consultant Paediatricians. All services are delivered in line with NICE guidelines under the leadership of clinical directors with extensive NHS and private sector experience. This is an exciting and genuinely autonomous opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to step into a dual clinical and managerial role. You will lead on CQC registration and compliance for an ADHD assessment and prescribing service, while also delivering high-quality ADHD assessments and providing post-diagnostic support.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidelines
  • Provide post-diagnostic support to clients
  • Maintain governance standards around assessments, reports, and prescribing pathways
  • Oversee consent processes, documentation, and patient safety
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed
  • Ensure all clinicians are appropriately registered and supervised
  • Manage complaints relating to clinical quality and patient experience
  • Act as the named Registered Manager for CQC registration of the ADHD assessment, prescribing, and medication service
  • Lead the CQC application process and provider interview, supporting the wider team throughout
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant CQC regulations and fundamental standards
  • Prepare for and respond to CQC inspections
  • Implement action plans following inspections, audits, or feedback
  • Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and governance systems
  • Manage statutory notifications to the CQC
  • Act as or support the safeguarding lead, ensuring robust safeguarding systems are in place
  • Manage incidents, complaints, whistleblowing, and serious concerns
  • Undertake investigations where necessary

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Demonstrable proficiency in the ADHD pathway
  • Previous experience with CQC registration in a clinician-led capacity
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong focus on quality and clinical integrity

Nice to have

  • Formal tool training in DIVA and/or ACE
  • Experience in prescribing or working within a prescribing oversight capacity
