We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the setup, registration, and launch of a brand-new 6-bed children’s residential home currently under construction and due for completion in June. This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, build your own team, and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance from day one.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, manage, and develop the full staff team
Oversee all onboarding, induction, and training processes
Prepare for and manage the Ofsted registration process
Ensure the home is fully prepared for opening, maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care quality, and regulatory compliance
Provide flexibility for on-call duties and additional support when required
Requirements:
QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare
Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last 5 years
At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role within a care setting
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home standards
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Must successfully complete an Ofsted Fit Person interview within 6 months of appointment
Nice to have:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to enrol upon appointment)
