We’re seeking an experienced and driven Registered Care Home Manager to take full responsibility for the safe, effective and person-centred running of the service. You will provide strong, visible leadership, ensure full regulatory compliance, and create a positive culture where residents receive high-quality care and staff feel supported and empowered. This role requires a confident manager who can balance operational oversight, quality improvement and team leadership, while maintaining excellent standards across all areas of the service. You will be accountable for performance, governance and CQC outcomes, and expected to lead with integrity, professionalism and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Providing strong, visible leadership and setting high standards across the service
Ensuring the safe, effective and person-centred delivery of care at all times
Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, internal policies and governance frameworks
Overseeing audits, care planning, medication management and digital reporting systems
Managing staffing, recruitment, performance, supervision and ongoing team development
Leading continuous quality improvement across care, documentation and service outcomes
Ensuring accurate, compliant and up-to-date records across all operational areas
Building positive, professional relationships with residents, families, professionals and the wider community
Managing budgets, resources and operational performance to ensure the home runs efficiently
Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive culture where staff feel valued and residents feel safe and well cared for
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager within elderly care, with a strong track record of service leadership
Demonstrated ability to maintain or improve CQC ratings to ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, governance and quality frameworks
High level of IT proficiency, confident using digital systems for care planning, medication management, audits and reporting
A visible, hands-on leader who can motivate, support and develop a team
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with staff, residents, families and external professionals
Calm, compassionate and professional approach with a commitment to person-centred care
Ability to work flexibly and meet the demands of a senior leadership role, including early starts, late finishes or occasional weekends when required
