We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established domiciliary care branch based in Ilkeston. This is an important appointment due to the current Registered Manager relocating, and the organisation is keen to ensure a full handover period. With the branch delivering around 1,600 care hours per week to approximately 100 clients, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, reputable service and guide it through its next phase of development, while maintaining the exceptional standards that have defined the branch since it opened in 2018.
Job Responsibility:
Take responsibility for the oversight and development of a long-standing domiciliary care service
Lead an established team of around 50 carers, supporting predominantly elderly clients
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA and health & safety
Work closely with the outgoing manager to ensure a smooth, comprehensive handover
Develop private care packages in addition to the existing Derbyshire County Council contracts
Provide strong leadership and direction, ensuring consistent quality and person-centred care
Oversee operational performance, audits, risk assessments, care planning and staff management
Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 5) with additional pay
Promote the organisation’s values and demonstrate strong knowledge during the interview process
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in adult health or social care
At least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally as a Registered Manager (strong Deputies considered)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent)
Excellent working knowledge of: CQC regulatory requirements, Safeguarding procedures, Health & Safety legislation
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Strong values, leadership capability and alignment with a high-quality, person-centred ethos
What we offer:
Paid on-call rota: £30 per weekday, £60 per weekend day / bank holiday
Equivalent to £270 extra per full on-call week
Monday–Friday working hours (8:30am–4:30pm)
Full handover period with the outgoing Registered Manager
Opportunity to lead a stable, highly regarded branch with strong local reputation
Clear expectations, values-driven culture and supportive leadership team
