Job Description:

Buckland Care is seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead The Orchards, a warm and well-established care home with a strong local reputation and a ‘Good’ CQC rating. This is a fantastic opportunity to take pride in a home where high standards, kindness, and community come first. You’ll be supported by an experienced Area Manager, two Deputies, and an on-site Administrator—giving you the structure and backing to focus on great care and great leadership.

Job Responsibility:

Leading the day-to-day operations of the home with care, professionalism, and visibility
Ensuring residents receive outstanding person-centred care at all times
Creating a positive, supportive culture where staff feel motivated and valued
Driving and maintaining CQC compliance and continuous quality improvement
Managing staffing, occupancy, budgets, and resources effectively
Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and the local community
Supporting and developing your team through coaching, training, and example-setting leadership

Requirements:

NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Significant experience in the care sector, with proven Registered Manager experience in elderly residential or nursing care
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and best practice
Excellent people management and team-building skills
A calm, proactive approach with strong organisational ability
Confidence managing compliance, performance, and budgets
Lives within 30 minutes’ drive of The Orchards
