Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a well-established charitable care provider to recruit a Registered Manager overseeing domiciliary and respite care services across Surrey. This is a senior leadership appointment combining Registered Manager responsibilities with wider operational oversight across multiple service lines. The role has become available due to the current postholder relocating overseas, creating an opportunity for an experienced care leader to join a highly values-led organisation delivering vital support services to unpaid carers and vulnerable individuals across the community. The successful candidate will play a key role in operational leadership, safeguarding oversight, compliance management, and future service growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Hold CQC Registered Manager status for the service
  • Provide operational leadership across domiciliary, respite, live-in, and emergency care services
  • Lead safeguarding processes and act as Safeguarding Lead
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, governance standards, and duty of candour requirements
  • Support and manage Senior Service Managers and Service Managers across the organisation
  • Oversee service quality, care delivery, rostering, and operational performance
  • Manage escalations relating to safeguarding and urgent out-of-hours matters
  • Lead disciplinary, performance management, and people management processes
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on operational strategy and service development
  • Support growth of private and self-funded care packages
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary or community care services
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding
  • Previous CQC inspection experience
  • Experience managing large staff teams and operational managers
  • Strong knowledge of care governance, compliance, and quality assurance processes
  • Experience handling disciplinary and performance management matters
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage complex operational challenges within community care environments

  • Experience overseeing multiple service lines
  • Commercial awareness and experience supporting growth of private care services
  • Knowledge of rostering and scheduling systems
