We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead our passionate Fostering Team based at our head office in Newcastle. This is a pivotal role for an experienced professional who combines clinical expertise with the strategic mindset required to manage a high-performing service. You will be the heartbeat of our fostering operations, ensuring that our carers are supported and our children are safe, settled, and thriving.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leadership: Directing the fostering team to maintain high standards of practice and regulatory compliance
  • Quality Assurance: Overseeing assessments, screenings, and the ongoing support provided to foster families
  • Regulatory Liaison: Acting as the Registered Manager in dealings with regulatory bodies, ensuring all "Ofsted-ready" standards are met
  • Community Impact: Driving the growth of the service through effective recruitment and retention strategies for foster carers

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree: A recognized qualification (BA/MA/DipSW) and active registration with Social Work England (or equivalent UK body)
  • Management Qualification: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). We will also consider candidates committed to achieving this within 6 months of appointment
  • Fostering Expertise: At least 2 years of direct experience relevant to fostering within the last 5 years
