Job Description

We’re seeking a Registered Manager to lead our Andover Children’s Home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while shaping a high-performing, compassionate team.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Home, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for all safeguarding referrals and procedures
  • Inspire and supervise a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care and professional development
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and external agencies to deliver holistic, therapeutic support
  • Manage budgets, staffing rosters, and care plans with precision and empathy
  • Maintain strong relationships with families, commissioners, and the wider community

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child protection
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Nice to have

  • Has completed, or is studying/committed to completing Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Officer
  • Experience writing reports and attending reviews
