Job Description
We’re seeking a Registered Manager to lead our Andover Children’s Home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while shaping a high-performing, compassionate team.
Job Responsibility
Lead the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Home, ensuring full regulatory compliance
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for all safeguarding referrals and procedures
Inspire and supervise a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care and professional development
Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and external agencies to deliver holistic, therapeutic support
Manage budgets, staffing rosters, and care plans with precision and empathy
Maintain strong relationships with families, commissioners, and the wider community
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role
Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child protection
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Nice to have
Has completed, or is studying/committed to completing Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
Previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Officer
Experience writing reports and attending reviews
