NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
commitment to obtain a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care
significant experience of working within a Children’s Home
demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
previous experience and knowledge of the Ofsted Regulatory Framework for Children’s Homes
proven leadership skills with experience supervising staff in a healthcare or residential environment
strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and care planning processes
excellent communication skills
ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
a compassionate approach towards children’s needs with a commitment to safeguarding their welfare

Job Responsibility

Help start up a new Children’s Home in your area
oversee the daily operations of the children’s residential care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
lead, supervise, and mentor staff members, promoting professional development and teamwork
develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs
administer medications as required, maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety protocols
collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic care for each child
monitor the wellbeing of children in your care, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively
maintain a safe and welcoming environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of children

Requirements

NVQ/QCF level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (Residential Childcare)
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above
Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviors including mental health and behavioral problems
Full UK Driving license
Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes
