Compass Associates is working in partnership with a well-established and growing care provider to appoint a Registered Manager for a confidential opportunity in South Yorkshire. The organisation delivers supported living and complex care services and continues to invest in its northern operations following strong performance and clear growth plans. The service operates across multiple supported living properties and sits within a wider strategy to expand complex mental health provision and develop additional services in the region. Job Responsibility:
Leading care and support staff across multiple properties, delivering regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and staff welfare support
Ensuring consistent, person-led care through effective support planning, risk assessments, and responsive delivery aligned to individual needs
Maintaining compliance with CQC standards, overseeing audits, incident management, health and safety, and service improvement actions
Managing capacity, understanding care packages, and overseeing a small domiciliary element including palliative care runs
Identifying trends within service delivery, addressing risks early, and supporting service improvement and future mental health growth plans
Requirements:
Proven experience leading or managing social care services
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, audits, and compliance
Experience managing capacity and care packages
Clear understanding of consent, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Strong organisation and leadership skills
Background in supported living or domiciliary care services
Nice to have:
Experience within complex mental health services
Experience managing multi-site or dispersed services
Track record of leading services through periods of change
