This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a greenfield service, building a branch from the ground up while being supported by an experienced and well-established wider organisation. This is a true start-up leadership role, offering full autonomy to: Build and develop your own care and office team; Establish the branch’s culture, processes and reputation; Lead on CQC registration and ensure compliance from day one; Drive growth in care hours across private and local authority packages. You will be responsible for creating a high-performing, compliant and commercially successful service, with the backing of a provider that already operates successfully across multiple locations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the set-up and registration of the new domiciliary care branch
Apply for and hold CQC Registered Manager status
Recruit, onboard and develop the full staff team
Build care hours through private and local authority work
Establish operational processes, systems and governance frameworks
Ensure full compliance with CQC standards from launch
Develop strong relationships within the local community and referral network
Oversee care delivery, rota management and service performance
Participate in on-call duties (linked to service growth)
Provide hands-on leadership, particularly in the early stages
Requirements:
Experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and registration processes
Proven ability to recruit and build care teams
Experience growing care hours and developing services
Commercial awareness and ability to manage branch performance
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Nice to have:
Experience opening or scaling a new service
Strong understanding of private care markets
Ability to work autonomously and build from scratch
What we offer:

Mileage paid at 35p per mile
Additional pay for care delivery outside standard hours
